What sort of clothes are famous singers selling you?

Most famous singers run a clothing line. They usually give it their own name, or associate their name to it.

Examples:
Worldwide famous rapper TI's clothing line: AKOO
Puff Daddy's urban fashion line: Sean John
Beyonce: Sasha Fierce etc..

You might have noticed that the retail price for these brand names is quite high, in fact it is well above the average price practiced by other less famous clothing brands.

What are you buying when purchasing these clothes, the quality of the fabric? Nope. The high price is justified by the name of the celebrity behind it.

When you buy garments of a famous clothing brand you buy the assurance that no one can tell you wrong.
What you are buying is the assurance that people around will think you are in and hopefully will say about you that you have good taste as opposed to being has-been.

Do you think this kind of consumer behavior makes sense? Leave your comments below. We want to know what you think!

Marketing a street-wear clothing brand.

The key to success in marketing a clothing brand to a large audience, is the blending of styles and influences. I personally feel that a clothing brand is like a cocktail.

How to use Twitter to promote a clothing brand?

Heard about twitter microblogging? Wonder how to use it and what's in it for you?

First, it's important to understand how twitter works (somewhere between a blog and an instant online chat). Go to twitter 101 to get the basics or have their view on best business practice on twitter.

What's In It For Me? (WII FM)
Using twitter means getting to a larger audience. As a clothing brand, it means one more network to participate to, which is a great way to market your clothing brand to a larger audience.

Website design: Branding and your own Perception.

I recently heard something along the lines of: As your brand evolves, and your business grow, it gains in maturity. What does this basically mean?

As you run your enterprise, different areas will need your attention.
With the time, you deal with various areas of the business which influence the way you perceive your own company.

Little by little, the landscape get clearer. The fog fades away and you see more clearly. The benefit of this is that you also communicate more clearly about your services, products and the spirit of your company.

Regularly you need to reflect this new vision in your marketing operations. (Rebranding?)

In our fast moving environment, that translates into reformulating the company message every six months when relooking the website or the company blog.

We've given a fresh new look to www.ellen-clothing-manufacturer.com.

Marketing your product (our StreetWear line)

I did a bit of research about how to market a streetwear line. By market I mean present product or attract the market to the online shop.

It looks tough to get a space in the main directories. So, with my colleagues at autoweb-creator.com , we had to find an other approach.
